Deputies in Tompkins County say they reported to an assault on Bills Way in Dryden on May 11th.
The incident happened around 5:45 pm, according to authorities. They say Tori Monroe, 37, of Dryden was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
Deputies say Monroe shot her neighbor in the head with a BB gun from a couple of feet away after an argument. A secondary altercation ensued after the initial assault, where two of Monroe’s juvenile children brandished knives and threatened the same victim.
The juveniles were charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and were issued appearance tickets.
The identity of the female adult victim has not been released. Deputies say her injuries were non-life threatening.
State Police assisted at the scene, and deputies say the investigation is ongoing.
